Hardware & Software Maintenance

Our hardware and software maintenance service is a comprehensive offering designed to support your most important IT hardware,. The service is offered as long-term and pay-incident-based support contracts.

Hardware

Hardware maintenance and support services are preventive and remedial services that physically repair or optimize hardware, including contract maintenance and per-incident repair. Hardware support also includes on-line and telephone technical troubleshooting and assistance for set-up, and all fee-based hardware warranty upgrades.

Software

Software support contracts include remote troubleshooting and support provided via the telephone and on-line channels, as well as installation assistance and basic usability assistance. In some cases, software support services may include new product installation services, installation of product updates, migrations for major releases of software and other types of proactive or reactive on-site services. Software products and technologies covered under this category include operating systems and infrastructure software. Software support services do not include the purchase of subscriptions that provide entitlement and rights to use future minor versions (point releases) or future major releases of software.

24 /7 Emergency Callout

Our UK-wide coverage means that we can offer outstanding 24/7 emergency call out with a guaranteed response time of up to four hours.

We are also able to tailor our response times to meet service level agreements, designed to give our customers assurance.

  • These times are dependent of the type of service level agreement chosen.
  • During normal working hours, emergency calls will be taken by our in-house team.
  • Out of hours calls are taken directly by the engineer on call.

In our experience, a large proportion of call outs can be dealt with over the phone using experience gained from on- going maintenance contracts.

IT Recyling & Disposal

Our recyling and disposal service makes it easy for your company to comply the UK Waster Electrical and Electronic legislation. Where redundant IT equipment is to be disposed of, there is often a requirement for the hard disks to be cleaned, in line with the data protection act. We can provide engineers to perform this hard disk wiping service out, as well as to remove any unwanted software from the PC’s.

Any business or organisation that uses or produces electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) is required by law to ensure they take responsibility of the recycling and disposal of their equipment. We will process this equipment with our 3rd party recycling suppliers and appropriate certificates are issued. Our partners are fully registered under the WEEE directive.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) aims to minimise the impacts of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment during their life times and when they become waste. It applies to a huge spectrum of products. It encourages and sets criteria for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
